Let talk all things Seminyak.

It’s a little too busy for my taste but Seminyak certainly has its perks, Melbourne style cafes, beach clubs, nice villas, clothes tailors and great shopping spots like The Bali Tailor who’s owner Leah is a Sydney Gal making damn cute leather goods.

We spent 3 nights in Seminyak when we first landed, this was probably 1 night two many if I’m honest, but starting here gave us time to have a tailor pop over to the place we were staying measure us up and start making some custom clothes for pick up at the end of our trip.

Again there is a lot of hustle and bustle here and its good if your in a group and want to party but I’m more partial to the quieter places as you’ll soon read about.

Food and Drinks

Best Coffee, ever!

Revolver 100%, don’t waist your time anywhere else just get coffee here. Owned by a Sydney gal, you wont be disappointed. Can be a bit tricky to find so enter via the laneway at Gang 51 off Jalan Oberoi, opposite Bali Clinic.

Indo

Warung Eny

Delicious smoked satay, comes with rice and greens. Don’t bother with anything else on the menu. Cheap!

Warung Nia

Ribs. So good. And the coldest Bintang in Bali, so cold my first one was frozen solid.

Sisterfeilds

Melbourne Style cafe, great for breaky. We tried the Pork Belly and the Corn fritters… A+

Corner House

Great lunch spot. The owners are a mixed couple French and Australian, Magali Pascal a fashion designer and Matt Neville, a photographer. There is now a second floor and they open for Breakfast lunch and dinner.

Motel Mexicola

Awesome Interior! Try the fish taco and ceviche. Book ahead as this place can gets super super busy with a young rowdy crowd.

LacaLaca

Mexican food good vibes, awesome bartenders that know how to make ace cocktails, on Sundays they do 2 for 1 Bloody Mary’s and Bloody Maria’s and on Mondays 2 for 1 Margaritas or Mojitos! They have a sister restaurant with the same deal up in Canggu.

Tiger Palm

Asian Fusion.

Cafe Zuccini

Didn’t make it here but heard good things.

Burger joint, always super busy!

Char Char

Delicious place for dinner, more expensive but still cheaper then home. You can choose fresh seafood to be grilled up for you and the duck mi goreng was SO GOOD. The also have rosé!

La Favela

This place is a must even just for a drink the interior is awesome. After 12pm on a Saturday is apparently good for a boogie!

Ku De Ta

Famous beach club super nice spot to watch the sunset and have a cocktail.

Sardine

Seafood, quite high end fine dining

IlLido

Italian food!

Ultimo

Also Italian, we went here near the end of the trip after a session of Bali belly and queasy tummies it was everything we wanted and more. Yummy Pasta and Pizza and a killer Strawberry daiquiri!

Kuni’s Japanese

The only half decent Japanese Place in Seminyak.

Da Maria

Italian! And if you stay a little later it get very busy and the dj plays some fun tunes for a boogie!

Shopping

The Bali Tailor

This is your one stop shop for custom leather goods, or anything that currently in fashion. The owner, Leah is an Aussie girl and a good friend of mins and can custom make almost anything. She likely wont be in the shop but talk to Hanna, he knows whats best.

UPDATE: The bali tailor used to only be available on the island but now you can buy almost everything online!

Gooseberry Intimates

Bali made lingerie using french materials. So beautiful and bralettes around $40.

Clothes Tailor

I used local tailor Lia and her awesome sidekick Evie to have a few clothes made. She nailed it from pictures and was happy to make alterations to ensure they fit perfectly. She made a linen shirt for Josh too which turned out awesome.

Massage’s and Day Spa’s

Spring Spa

Such a beautiful spa, on the rooftop of Seminyak Village. We went here twice in a trip and had the ‘Perfect Pairs’ 60 mins massages for $50. They massages were excellent and the space is amazing, I highly recommend making a booking beforehand.

Chill Reflexology

They give you ipods and has a cool interior….
